For my own schemes, I've decided that Lothering is a bit bigger than it was in Origins. Because let's face it. It took you five minutes to walk to the other side of the town and back. I know it doesn't really make sense to refer to her as Hawke, but ohwell.

Hawke gazed at the array of jewelry and clothing, across the marketplace. Shiny. She could feel Carver's gaze burning into her. It made her nervous. Hawke decided to entertain (distract) herself with the boy in front of her. He was her age with messy brown hair and deep, chocolate eyes. Since they moved to Lothering, they had made quite a name for themselves. It was a bit of an advantage. Hawke looked up at the boy, slowly. "What's your name?" he blushed, then gave a quick grin.

"Daryn." she bit her lip, to stop the flirtatious smile that crept on her. She couldn't help it. She just felt the need to flaunt herself, where she went. In all honesty, it made her feel a little less lonely. "Nice name." she whispered. She opened her mouth to introduce herself and continue the little game, but Carver interrupted her.

"How much is this?" he asked pointing to something. Probably some stupid sword. Her jaw clenched. Asshole. The boy gave her a sheepish smile before going over to her brother, explaining Maker-knows-what to him. She walked over to Carver, hips swaying, and chin held high. She refused to lose to him.

"Brother." she smiled. He didn't look up. She touched his forearm gently. "Brother, do you mind coming with me for a moment?" He rolled his eyes, apologized to Daryn, and turned around. She raised and eyebrow and gestured for him to follow, but not before throwing a flirtatious grin in the way of the young merchant boy. He smiled back. Carver snorted.

Hawke led him to a small alley, between the inn and chantry, and punched him in the shoulder. Not like it would do much to the brute, she scoffed. "What is with you?" she asked, angrily.

He glared down at her. "Knock it off. Do you need to flirt with every guy you see? Have some decency,  big sister." He sneered.

Her jaw dropped. How dare he speak to her like this! "You're just jealous, because no one flirts with you." she returned.

For a moment, a dark look passed over his face that she couldn't read. It worried her. But she wouldn't show it, she just shook her head and decided to settle for the only thing she knew how to do with him: argue. "What is your problem?" 


He lost it. How stupid was she? Very. He decided. He slammed her up against the building and pinned her wrists to the stone walls.

"You. You're my problem. You and your flirting, with your stupid smile and your hips swaying to gather attention. The problem, is that you're too beautiful for your own good, and it's going to be the death of me." he growled, voice growing hoarse. He looked at her, her baby blue eyes widening in disbelief. She scoffed, and turned to walk away. He wasn't having it.

"Move." she commanded, eyes boring into his and fire spitting along her fingertips. "No." her eyelids lowered.

"You have five seconds before I-"He couldn't take it anymore. Being this close to her, was like a drug. It intoxicated him, throwing any sense of morality or guilt down the drain. He leaned in and pressed his trembling lips to hers, roughly. She struggled against him, trying to wriggled free. It was a futile attempt, they both knew. He was stronger and taller. He was a man. Roughening the kiss, he pressed her further into the wall and closer to him. She let out a small moan in pleasure. His trousers twitched in satisfaction. Maker... She was beautiful. And he couldn't control himself. He had to have her. He didn't care how wrong it was.

Carver felt her relax under him, and he loosened his grip, placing one hand behind her head. She whimpered, attempting to press herself closer to him, the thin clothing separating them. He dreaded it, but they both needed to come up for air.

Hawke felt like she had the wind knocked out of her. Her heart was beating wildly, she was sure he could hear it. "Oh, Rayne... I can't take it. I really can't. Let me have you." he whispered, beside her ear, hot breathing tickling her neck. She arched her back, reflexively. His eyelids lowered and he gave a devilish grin. "Will you?" he whispered, again, nibbling on her ear. She winced, and stuttered.

She couldn't help it anymore--her stomach leaped in excitement, desire spiking in her. She was a huge, flirt. But she never actually did anything. Anything... meaning everything. She never even kissed a boy. Not before... Not before her brother, who she was desperately clinging to, entangling her hands in his hair.

"Carver..." she murmured, he took advantage of the opportunity, delving his tongue into her mouth. She couldn't control herself. She had never been this turned on before, and could only think of one way to fix it. She writhed under him, as he touched her, hand sliding up her linen shirt. She gasped, as he caught a pert nipple, teasing and pulling. It was sweet torture. All she wanted was to lay with him in bed, and make love to him all day.

It was a shame she realized, things don't always work out.
